Welcome to Henry County

Henry County Executive Brent Greer
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Henry county, a progressive community of over 31,000 people and home to the World's Biggest Fish Fry.

Henry County is located in Northwest Tennessee, about an hour-and-forty-five minutes from Nashville and Memphis with much of the distance being by four lane highways.
It is a community dedicated to working in unity to enhance the quality of life for all of our citizens.

Economically, Henry County has a perfect balance of agriculture, industry, tourism, and a retirement area for those seeking a great quality of life. Henry County has, part of our community, Kentucky Lake which is absolutely beautiful, with fishing, boating, and hunting being unexcelled. The State of Tennessee has the second largest park in the State located in Henry County, equipped with a beautiful hotel, convention center, cabins, and an 18 hole golf course.

We are most proud of our educational systems, having received the Governor's A+ award with new and better physical plants being built to serve our children. The County owns and operates Henry County Medical Center which is staffed with excellent doctors and medical staff to provide service for most any medical need.

The Henry County Court House is in the middle of downtown Paris and history has been preserved with their facility which was built in 1896; its architecture being simply beautiful.

The County offers very reasonable property taxes and on of the lower sales tax rates in the area.

You will find an airport with a 5,000 foot runway equipped with ILS, AWOS, high intensity runway lighting, and a completely renovated terminal building.

Henry County is a good place to live and we invite you and your family to visit our community. We believe you will agree, Henry County has a lot to offer our present and future citizens.

Sincerely,
Brent Greer
